Today was wholely uneventful. I slept pretty well. Woke up at 4 am but was able to go back to sleep. Got up at 9, checked out at 12, did paperwork with Zhanna, caught a 2:30 flight to Samara, got picked up by Nastya, checked into the Renaissance hotel here (this is my third visit...I feel right at home), ate a sandwich for dinner and had a Budweiser Budvar beer (shout out to my dad...I'm half Czech...Budweiser Budvar is not American Bud, it is a Czech beer), and then got on-line. I'm at the business center in the hotel since I cannot get my wi-fi card to work and they can't get hold of the provider to find out the issue.
Tomorrow I take custudy of my daughter. :-)

Where are we in our China adoption journey?
Our dossier was logged in by the CCAA on December 25th, 2007. The current wait from LID to referral for a non-special needs child is around 8 years. Our dossier has been translated and is now in line for the Review Room, where the Chinese govt. will officially approve us to adopt. We are likely looking at another 6 years or so before we receive our referral if it even happens that quickly.

Gee, if i didn't have to leave my house early tomorrow, i might stay up just to catch any news!!! LOL!!!
This is such an exciting time for you and I'm really enjoying being a "virtual" auntie...watching it all unfold!
After all the ups and downs in this journey, it is really amazing to read how close you are to "gotcha day!" :)
