not surprisingly, n is a very happy morning baby. she woke several times in the night and cried out. a hand on her back worked. once i pick her up and rocked side to side until she went out again in a minute. at 4:15 this morning, after standing bent over the crtib rubbing her back longer than mommy's back could tolerate, she came to bed with me. she went back to sleep for a while and was awake by 5. we snuggled until 5:30. i went to bed at 9:30, so i got some rest although i could sleep for a lot longer, obviously.
i've contemplated letting her sleep with me all night, but she is so mobile and the bed is huge, but it doesn't have rails and i don't have that many chairs.
I wouldn't sleep much...every time she moved, I would be awake to make sure she doesn't go too far. And let's face it, Mommy is going to have a long day Sunday so if she doesn't get any sleep, the decathelon will be a nightware. I may let her fall asleep with me, though, and then move her to her crib. If sje will fall asleep with me. We only have one more full night here. our flight leaves (are you sitting down) at 5:50 Sunday morning, and I am not especially near the airport so I will be leaving the hotel with her at 3 a.m. Saturday night. I have a rather thick fleece hooded sleeper to put over her regular sleeper for that trip, as it will be COLD in the middle of the night. Hopefully she will do her usual sleeping in cars thing and stay content in the Ergo while I get us checked in and through security. Once we are through security and I just have the backpack and the diaper bag, she cann get out and walk if she wants and it will be about her wake up time.
we have definitely reached the clingy stage. i don't know if she will be okay with others with me out of sight. we'll see. i will need to leave her with a flight attendant to use the bathroom on the planes. She doesn't have alot of stranger anxiety...she will go to anyone, and she was quiet but didn't cry when I left her with Nastya and Zhanna at the airports. But after a few days of just us, she may be more reluctant to have me out of sight. She doesn't like for me to leave the room here. We have a four room little suite with a bedroom, a living areea, a bathroom, and a bar/kitchen area.
Speaking of which, while doing dishes and thinking of my impending laundry, I realized "hey, I am standing in front of what is essentiually a high kitchen sink...wash the clothes here." And I did. Much better than the bathtub. Mommy's back has had a hard few days.
we've been playing off and on as i write this. i should go shower today. we need to be downstairs and ready to go to the embassy at 1:15 sharp.

It's 3am and I woke up for my N fix. Gee, how am I going to sleep all night when you get back? But you know what was funny? That you were able to go to bed at 9:30 pm!!! Lol!! It just struck me as funny right now, the things we can do for the kids. Sounds like everything is going well, I think I'm surprised she is waking up so much. Is the playpen hard? Maybe folding up a towel or something and making it softer would help? A was always a light sleeper on a harder surface, still is, but give her cushy and she is out.
Hope all goes smooth on the big outing today!
Lots of hugs!!
