Well, it's 4:30 am and I just finished "lunch" and am updating my I-pod for the trip. I have been trying, the last couple of days, to go over to Moscow time a bit early. My flight leaves today at 1:15 and I expect to be asleep soon after. Moscow is 9 hours ahead of Dallas. I am nearly all packed, N's room is mostly cleaned up except for some heavy items C needs to move when he gets home, the living room is cleaned up, the kitchen is mostly cleaned up, the car seat is installed, and things seem to be going along on track. I've done a little bit of baby-proofing, but not the kitchen yet.
I haven't weighed the luggage yet, since it is not zipped up yet. I may be okay...I took out some of the heavier items. I'm still kind of pushing it getting it all in, but it should be okay. I decided to pack my diaper bag empty and get it out in Samara. I will be able to use it as an extra carry-on once I have her with me.
My friend Liz is taking me to the airport today and once I get to Moscow and then Samara, it will all be an adventure into the unknown. I don't know exactly what to expect from N...her whole world is about to change and it's hard to say how that will sit with her. She seems to be very easy-going, but I've never been with her for more than 90 minutes or so at a time, so we'll see what it's like when she realizes she really is stuck with me for good. I am expecting some grief behavior from her and some rough seas at times, but I am hoping for the best.
I have a couple of things for C to do before I get back with her, but mostly this all seems to be coming together. Now to just get her home....

Sounds like it is all going well tonight. Hope you are still awake- I am again! Lol! Cuddle, snuggle and love that little girl, and in the end, it will all work out. It may be tough at times, but I know you are up to the challenge.
Consider it prep for smart a•• teenagerhood!
Hang in there today chicky!
You keep giving me an excited stomach! Praying for a blessed, sleep filled trip for both of you. I can just picture the joy of the 3 of you together in your home.
Good luck on this part of your journey. Once you get that beautiful little girl in your arms you won't even care how the rest of the trip goes. Everything will turn out great. I will continue to keep ya'll in my thoughts and prayers.
Safe travels. I'll be thinking of you.
