I'm pretty sure our flight leaves at 5:30 am. Which means we need to leave the house before 4:30 am. Which means I need to get up around 3:30-3:45 am.
It's after midnight and hopefully Corey is on his way home soon. He called some two hours ago to tell me he'd be home in 45 minutes. I'm not surprised he isn't here. He always does this the night before vacation...trying to get caught up at work...like he's EVER caught up at work.
So today was pretty frazzled. My workout at 11 am got canceled at 8:30 am by Julie, my PT, since she forgot that today is the day they celebrate Mother's day in Mexico, and her MIL was visiting. Her DH is Hispanic...from mexico, I guess. :D I would have rescheduled, but by the time I was ready to, I realized I needed a new bathing suit, so with everything else I had to do, the workout fell off the calendar. I feel a bit guilty, but I also know I will be walking all over the San Diego zoo tomorrow and Sea World after that and I am taking running shoes to try to get a run in at some point.
Completely forgot to take my sewing machine in to get it serviced. With all the flannel I've been sewing, I figure it needs an annual check-up, and this was going to be the best time to take it in, since I will be gone. Had an appointment. Had it on the calendar. Didn't LOOK at the calendar this morning. How idiotic is that?
Did find a new bathing suit. A tankini. I love tankinis. I'm long in the body, so one-pieces are hard to fit on me (I have to buy the ones made long and labelled that way). The bikinis...well, I'm not ready for one of those yet, and may never be again, LOL! I'm getting pretty modest nowadays...I'm married, already. ;) Don't need to be putting it all out there for the world to see, and those bikini bottoms don't leave much to the imagination. I think there was more fabric in most of the tops than in most of the bottoms.
And I am happy to say that skorts are back in fashion, apparently. They were all over Kohl's, at any rate. I've never been a fan of skorts, but I tried some on for kicks and oh. my. They are so flattering. I bought three. I'm all about the skort now, LOL! These look like a skirt all the way around...not just in front. And they fit really well.
Oh, excuuuuse me. I went looking for a photo on the Kohl's site, and apparently I bought scooters, not skorts. At any rate, they sure are cute:

Weather is supposed to be around 70 degrees and partly cloudy to sunny. Looking forward to seeing the zoo there and SeaWorld and relaxing on Coronado Island. :D
