I wish this was a better photo, but it is nighttime and a flash was required. I had to take the photo and get it posted by tonight to meet the raffle deadline for my internet knit-along group.

Sunday, I was showing my completed socks to my mom and SIL and looked down across the toy race track in front of me to see Abigail holding her foot up at me. Then she made a beeline to me and my socks. Apparently, Abigail is quite into socks and seemed so disappointed not to have any of her own to put on that I got out the CIC ones I had with me and let her put those on. First the pink:

and then the blue:

Unphased by the fact that they were several sizes too big, she really enjoyed putting them on (with a little assistance). When she was done with them, she let me know by taking them off and throwing them. I was pretty surprised that she wanted them on for as long as she did, which was several minutes apiece. The CIC socks are 100% wool, made for children in a Russian orphanage who don't always get shoes and rely on warm woolen socks to keep their feet warm in a barely heated building. At this point in the year, I only wear socks to work out in or maybe play golf in, so as soon as my sock photo was taken for my knit-a-long group, the socks came off...and mine aren't 100% wool!
Speaking of Sunday, here is the birthday boy counting his candles:

and his big sis...isn't she a beauty!

Okay, I'm off to bed. My brother is here this week working and staying with me and I'm really enjoying it. He can't find good Mexican food in Pensacola and so for the last two nights we've stuffed ourselves at Cantina Laredo. I like having him here. :D
And Corey called this evening on his way to his second plant site in China today..I mean tomorrow. Can't remember the name of the place. Then he is on to Hong Kong tomorrow, I think. I mean Friday. At this moment, he's already halfway through with "tomorrow". Our tomorrows and todays are a bit confused right now.
