Physically, today was pretty tiring. But I did get a lot done. I can really feel the effects of my workouts, though. I have more energy and can do all this stuff now. :D
I did an hour of arms and abs today with Julie, then did 36 minutes on the treadmill doing a program she set up for me. Walking at an easy pace (3.0), but lots of inclines. It wasn't bad...i can do it pretty easily, even after a workout. It's for fat-burning. I'm supposed to do this 3-4 times a week for two weeks and then she'll set up another program for me.
So then I came home, ate a salad (I eat a lot of salads nowadays), and went out to listen to a train that never showed up. We are looking at a house that is pretty great...the biggest downside to it is that it has a railroad track behind it and the trains are supposed to run twice a day. But I guess the realtor was wrong, cuz I was there from 1:50 - 2:10, and there was no 2 pm train.
Went to the hardware store, went home and did a little laundry and housework. Fence guys left for the day. So I went out to photograph the progress (or lack thereof) and LOCKED MYSELF OUT OF THE HOUSE. Yep. The bottom lock on the garage door must have gotten turned somehow, so I could go out but not go back in.
I don't know my next door neighbors well. The ones whose driveway is near ours are friendly. They helped look after the house a bit while we lived overseas. They have two HS aged kids, but we just don't talk to them much. Luckily she was home and let me use her phone. This was around 4:15 or so.
Corey was, of course, about to go into a VIM. That's Very Important Meeting for those of you who don't live my life. Corey goes to a lot of VIM's. In fact, I think 75% or so of his job consists of VIM's. He promised to try to get out of it as soon as possible, maybe 30 minutes, and then come home and let me in.
So Cee Cee gave me a bottle of water and I decided this was as good a time as any to plant the flowers we bought yesterday. I had access to the garage, so I got my gardening gloves, tools, etc. and planted begonias and caladiums in the front flower beds. and mulched. and was about to put another coat of paint on the shed when Cee Cee came over to chat and offer to drive me to Corey's office to get keys. Which was a nice offer, but I knew he was probalby on his way home soon anyway.
So Corey came home at 5:45 and I was pretty darn happy to see him, as I had been getting pretty hungry. He looked at the front flower beds and decided he needs to make sure I get locked out more often. Smart ass.
So then I painted half the shed until I ran out of paint. I need to buy more tomorrow. But I did finish the side where they are putting up the fence tomorrow. At least, I hope they will put up the fence tomorrow.
Well, heck, I was going to add photos, bu tthe server seem to be having difficulties uploading them. :(
You know, Veronica isn't the only one who has told me stories of one-day fences. I think of them as mythical objects. Maybe someday I'll stumble across one, LOL!
My Dallas Mavericks are kicking ass and taking names down in San Antonio right now. I sure do hope they can keep that going and win this game. It's amazing they are leading by so much at halftime in game 7 in San Antonio!

Hope the fence turns up soon. Really, mine was tiny. That's why they could do it in a day :)
