Why is this so hard?
When we were in Europe, we bought cheap little watercolor prints from tourist vendors in nearly every city/country we visited. I say nearly because the one time I saw a vendor in Copenhagen, I was too frazzled from walking out in the heat to see the little mermaid and didn't buy one, thinking we'd get one later...we never did and I STILL regret that. I've even searched on Ebay for a Copenhagen/Denmark watercolor like those others to no avail. :-(
Anyhow....last December I went and got those prints framed. Three are in the front hall, framed to match each other, and since there are only three of them, a nice asymetrical balance was easy to attain. These others are framed in all different ways...I tried to do what would look best with each print. And they look great. The problem is arranging them on the wall above our bed. Why do the folks at HGTV make this look so easy all the time?
I did what they said and cut templates out of paper. I even have marks on them so that when I go to nail picture hangers, I have a guide. But I'll be damned if I can figure out how to arrange these babies.
They are all such odd sizes and the long, thin Greece one (with three different prints in it) is a real pain. Maybe I should have gotten those framed horizontally instead of vertically...but it's too late now. I may put it somewhere else.
My first inclination was to put a floating shelf up and then arrange the framed prints on it, leaning them against the wall and layering them against each other. May have to revisit that idea....
btw, Corey told me last night that me baking a pie in the nude wouldn't be nearly as shocking as me getting up early on a Saturday to do it.
smartass.

Well, Sherilyn, if it makes you feel any better, my DH would say EXACTLY the same thing. It's no secret around here that I like to sleep in on Saturday mornings. Now, sleeping in means no later than 9:00 a.m., but living with a house full of early risers makes me look like the slacker!
