I've finally been inspired to start a blog. Mostly to keep track of and share my creative endeavors, but I imagine I will also throw some other stuff in here as well. News from the stayathome front.

My current knitting project is a pair of socks. And, of course, a baby hat. I am always knitting a baby hat.
A friend asked me to join a knitalong last week. It's where several of us knitters e-mail each other on an e-mail loop and discuss sock patterns. Yes, you read that correctly. Sock patterns. Every two months the listmom releases a new one (created just for us, I think) and we all start knitting it together, all over the world, and we discuss techniques and problems we might have and share progress and photos with each other. Corey thinks it's a little nuts that I like to knit socks, as I can "buy them for $2", and he thinks it's even crazier that I'm on a loop that talks about knitting said socks. But then Corey does things I don't completely understand...like those financial theory books he finds interesting...so I suppose we are even.

Wow. 10:42. I need to get off of here. I am going to an apron museum display today with a bunch of ladies from the Senior Annex in North Dallas. One of the ladies in NIN (Newborns in Need) runs the Annex along with the Rec Center that we meet at, and she invited me to go. I expect I will be the youngest by far of the group today, but that's okay...I'm getting used to that. If the display is interesting enough, I'll see if Mom wants to go sometime.
