Yep, still thinking about that house. Even drove by it today on the way home from working out. Okay, I do realize that 38oo sq ft is a BIT more house than we need right now...or will need for quite some time. But good grief, there was NOTHING wrong with that house!
Did finish the sock...after getting about halfway through the toe, realizing I had dropped a stitch on the third row into it, trying to fix the dropped stitch, making a mess, realizing that fixing a dropped stitch in garter stich, whcih I don't know how to do is considerably different than fixing one in stockinette, which I do know how to do, cursing the fact that I can't find the book I have that tells how to fix a dropped stitch in garter, and finally painstakingly unknitting 10 rows to the beginning of the toe because simply frogging it and trying to pick up the stitches was too risky with the pattern I was working with.
But it is a beautiful sock. :D
I have one little irregularity in the heel where I think I must have forgotten to wrap a stitch...or wrapped twice or something. Other than that, it is just about perfect, and it fits beautifully. I really need to take a photo and show it off, but I also want to run and get a blanket set sewed together before Corey calls and says he is on his way home. LOST is on tonight and I think Invasion is back tonight and we'll probably watch the 24 that I recorded on Monday if Corey can stay awake that long. That is the one show he likes, though, cuz "shit happens on it". LOST drives him nuts because hardly anything happens and he isn't into trying to figure out the mystery of it all like I am. He kinda likes Invasion, too, because "shit started happening on it", too.
Okay, off to sew. I spent yesterday with the NIN ladies making quilt kits and playing around with fabric for quilt tops. Fun, fun, but it meant several hours on my feet. And tomorrow is my regular Thursday NIN sewing meeting....at which I sometimes sew but usually end up cutting blanket kits.

So, Corey does realize houses are getting more and more expensive for the last 2 years. Not cheaper. And seriously, if you have kids or just a house full of neices and nephews, that space would be awesome. Then the man of the place can also have a nice study - with French Doors.
Me and the Man of This Place have 2500 sq feet on one floor & it often doesn't feel like nearly enough. But, I detest the thought of moving, at least until the MOTP (Man of the Place) retires. Then I think we want to live out in the country. It's just too crowded in this town. UGH!
