Wicked was wonderful

I highly recommend it. A coworker of Corey's had told him it was not like the book and he wasn't kidding! It has most of the same characters as the book...Elphaba, G(a)linda, Boq, Nessarose, Doctor Dillamond, etc. But the plot and happenings are quite different. In a good way. I knew they'd have to limit the scope of the musical...no way they could cover the whole book, but instead of taking some things out and rearranging, they pretty much rewrote it, and it was great. Kept us guessing and the dialogue was funny. And the performers had some really nice voices. Really nice. All around, a good show.

And then we came home and caught the end of the Mavs folding like a house of cards. :(

Got the info I need to get our police checks done next week. I'll go in Monday with the paperwork I need for that, so that should be done by the end of next week. And we need to sit down and gather copies of the insurance/financial stuff we need, I'll write the application letter, and I need to make sure my last referral makes it in. Guess I need to call Corey and have him check on that letter of employment.

I'll post photos this weekend of the back of the toddler dress. I am working on Corey's sweater, so it may be a while before I do the front of the dress. It is adorable.
