Santa Barbara, Santa Monica, whatever...

So I have the last little bit of paperwork for the social worker, finally. Corey's employment letter, which it took him forever to get notarized and nearly as long to remember to bring home from the office. But it's here, so tomorrow that packet of paper will go in the mail.

I also got a letter back from Santa Barbara county stating that the birth record I requested could not be found. Turns out he was born in Santa Monica, not Santa Barbara (where he got his undergrad degree). Fine. I'll send off again. That was a waste of Fed Ex, though. And I wonder if I can use the same notary statement for Los Angeles county as I did for Santa Barbara county or if I'll have to go do it again. I had to print off a statement and get it notarized stating that I am who I say I am and I know LA uses a similar statement.

Hmmph.

So after I send off the paper packet tomorrow, we'll need to wait for the homestudy to be completed to send in the I-600A to Customs and Immigration. Hope it doesn't take her long, but then, it's taken me longer than I planned to get all the paper to her.

Finished the orange lace socks...started the Branching Out scarf. Will post photos later this week....
