All this rain we have gotten recently has created prime mosquito breeding. It's going to be a long summer if this keeps up.
ALMOST done with the paperwork. I can't find the insurance face sheets in Corey's pile-file system, so I'm going to let him hunt those down, and we need to go together to notarize our financial statement, so coordinating that will be a real effort. My oldest brother is coming in town tonight for a medical conference he attends every year, so I am picking him up and then heading to my parents' for a couple of days until it is time to drop him off at the conference. I was hoping to get all this paper in the mail today, but it may have to wait until Thursday now.
Had a nice Mother's Day with Mom and Dad. Took them to Beni Hana's. They've never done teppenyaki, so that was fun.
Now to get this place ready to leave for a couple of days. It will be nice to visit with Rudy.
On the knitting front, I am very close to being done with my orange lace socks. Could have stayed up much too late last night finishing the last few rows of the lace pattern and then starting the toes, but decided to go to bed. I'll probably finish those at my parents'. I need to work on Corey's sweater, but I need to measure him a bit first, so I won't work on that on this little trip. I'm thinking of starting the Branching Out scarf from Knitty. I have some great Artyarns fingering weight in a pale green color that just screams leaves to me.
