Happy Day

My daddy's carotid surgery went great. He looked and felt so good yesterday when they finally let us see him...you'd never know he had just had a major artery cut open and scraped clean. Had a very nice visit with the parents all day, even if most of it was in the ICU and the food at Presbyterian still sucks. I was able to stay until 10 pm.

Got about 4 feet of Branching Out knit. That pattern knits up FAST! Got about two more inches knit on a new sock, too.

Social worker received the paperwork I sent her. Now to get the homestudy report into my hot little hands.

Painted the guest bath Wednesday...still need to do the trim in there, but the walls are done and I love the color, finally.

And tonight we have a work dinner to go to for one of Corey's coworkers, so I'd better get moving and figure out what casual but not too casual options I've got in the closet that currently fit. I have to be ready in three hours, so I need to find something, and fast!
