Branching Out

Man, this project flew off the needles.

Spending a day in the hospital didn't hurt that, but in general, this is a fast, easy knit.

This pile of lace, preblocking, is about 5 feet long. The color these photos is way off.
This blocked piece is 7'9". I knew it would stretch, but was unsure by how much. I'm happy about the length, though. I like to wear my scarves doubled up with the ends pulled through a loop made halfway in the scarf. So this will be nice and long and snuggly. I love it.

I didn't see any mistakes while pinning it, so at least if there are some, they aren't blatant.

Daddy says I should knit one with brown leaves and I might do that..

This was made with Nature's Palette fingering weight wool, color 122. One 50 gram ball and part of another. I love the color...there are subtle variations, as if the yarn was overdyed. The weird thing is that it bled purplish blue on my hand where I was holding it. I've never had yarn do that before, and was surprised at the color. The yarn does have some bluish and yellow undertones, but I don't know where that color came from!

Your Branching Out is gorgeous!

It always makes me laugh when yarn dyes my hands as I am using it but you would think it would be closer to the color of the yarn.
