He's home!

Corey got in a little while ago. He's planning to go into the office, but come home and hit the sack early. He didn't sleep much on the way home.

He thinks he left his ties in the hotel in London. Five of them. I hope not...I just bought two last week and losing five of his best ones is an expensive loss. I guess we'll find out when he unpacks later.

I'm trying to take it easy. Need to finish my third gauge swatch. I didn't meet gauge with the 6's, which surprised me again. The patternmaker used 6's, so I am really surprised that I am now going down to 5's. I am not knitting quite as tightly as I did when I first started knitting, but I am still pretty tight. I hope the 5's do it. These swatches are booooring to knit.

I am about to start the heels on my jaywalkers. I got some perle cotton to add in as reinforcement on a tip from Liz, my friend Jean's daughter. I am thinking of doing the heels and toes in solid green. I've never done contrasting heels/toes, but I like the look, especially with striped yarn.
