The Brady Bunch

woo hoo! I got Tom Brady in the second round of the draft. He's a good fantasy quarterback, so I am happy about that. I listed all QB's in this round and was afraid many of the 7 guys drafting ahead of me would also be going for QB's, so I didn't have much hope of landing him or my second choice, Hasselbeck. Palmer and P. Manning were already gone.

Most of the guys have taken RB's in the first two rounds. There are only 4 QB's taken so far. RB's can generate some good fantasy points, and a few good RB's usually lead the league in fantasy scoring (which is why my first round picks were the top three runnng backs) but usually only the best RB's can compete with QB's in terms of points, so I am a little surprised that more of the good QB's aren't being snatched up earlier. And there are guys drafting wide receivers in the first two rounds which REALLY mystifies me. There was only one WR in the top 25 league scorers (fantasy points...it's different than regular game points), so I am surprised that some of these guys are going so early for WR's that average much fewer points per game than the average QB, much less a good QB.

I other news, I spent all day yesterday scrapping at Vicki's with Carole and Diane (aka Dinee). We had a great time. I finished my July swap (I thought I was in two swaps, but thankfully it was just one this month). I'm about to head off to my parents' where my brother will also be bringing his family. Little Abigail's third birthday was Friday, so we are going to celebrate that and I will stay the night there.

I finished and blocked my second gauge swatch for The Sweater Friday night but haven't had time to measure it. I may do that before I head out to G-Ville...but then again, I need to shower, pack, unload my scrapping stuff from the car, and then go buy a birthday gift on the way out of town, so I've got plenty to do already and the measuring may have to wait until tomorrrow.

I love the sweater pattern you chose and the classic lines and simplicity of it. I think it will be great. What color Yarn did you pick? A sample anywhere?

The yarn is in the swatch below the pattern. It's a grey tweed. :D
