Progress

The bathroom is retextured and awaiting paint. Dad came over Friday to be there for the mew house inspection in the afternoon until Corey could get out of a meeting and he also helped me a bit with the bathroom. Then I finished texturing it yesterday. It looks pretty good. I used texture paint and this drywall tool that is a brush that sort of splays out on all sides. Makes a nice texture and is easy. I've done it all before in our third bedroom here. Tomorrow I'll paint it, decorate it, and be DONE with it. Yea! Mom helped me pick a neutral paint color. I knew I could rely on her to steer me in the right direction. She is always good at helping with things like that and always has good advice.

Yesterday Daddy helped us load up all our extra stuff and move it to storage. Uncle Bob's storage won out because they had the best price I found in the vicinity AND they gave you free truck rental upon move-in. I'm glad I've been working out because yesterday could have been really hard on me but it wasn't so bad. I'm getting a lot stronger. My craft room kinda looks like a room again, and we can now put the bed together in the guest room, even if we don't have box springs. The platform bed used to be our master BR bed and we had box springs in the guest room on a regular frame. Now the box springs are in the master, the platform bed from hell (really, this thing is a solid teak monstrosity, but Corey is very attached to it) is in storage, and the guest mattress is on the old guest bed frame. I guess I'll dress it like a bed even if it does look funny without box springs.

Mom and Dad came over today. I roasted a chicken with lemon, rosemary, and garlic, and my house still smells like it. Probably will for a whole day, LOL! After we cleaned the kitchen, I laid down for a nap and slept for 2 hours...longer than I should have, but man, I was so tired from the last few days I was starting to get dysfunctional, so I needed that nap.

Visited the new house again today with the parents. I was thinking we'd paint before moving in, just as a matter of course, but I really don't think it needs it. Still love the house. It will be a good move for us.

Right now I am supposed to be filling out the seller's disclosure for our house. And I'd like to get one of the two faucets installed tonight that I need to do. Our goal is to get this house on the market and "viewable" by Wednesday, since we are going on vacation Thursday. I've been on here a while checking my e-mail and HSS, so I guess I'd better get off and get with it. Especially before Corey gets home from the office and finds me playing on the PC. ;)
