I was JUST about finished....

The good news: The bathroom wallpaper is finally stripped. Daddy, we did a GREAT job adhering it 9 years ago. Especially over the shower.

The bad news: I gave myself a first degree burn on one of the exposed lightbulbs over the sink. I was scraping the last bit of residue over the light fixture, nearly finished with the whole room, when I brushed the inside of my left forearm up against the lightbulb on the end (I have one of those strips of four bulbs over the sink in there). It had been on for hours, so it was hot, hot, hot. I've had it covered with a cold compress for an hour, and it seems to be about 2 inches around of bright red now. I think a spot in the middle may blister. If it does, I'll have a little scar to match the two burn scars on the inside of my right forearm. One from a falling iron, one from a renegade brownie pan.

I think I need to go put gauze on it. It feels better covered than with air on it.

So far so good on the strep thing, although I will call my Dr. in the morning anyway. If there is any chance I am carrying it and just not coming down with it, I need to address that, as I don't want to give Mom and Dad strep this weekend (much less my hubby, but I am more worried about Mom and Dad). I read today that some folks carry it and don't come down with it but can pass it to others. Greeeeaaaat.
