My GASC haul

The Great American Scrapbook Convention in Arlington is apparently the grand-daddy of them all.

Tons of vendors. Tons of STUFF. Not too crowded as it was Friday (tomorrow will be a nightmare).

I wasn't plnaning to go this year. But a couple of weeks ago my friend Vicki asked me to go with her. She wanted to go meet up with our friend Karen from Odessa. So okay, I decided to go.

I don't really like to shop. I am a goal-oriented shopper. I shop very specifically for summer sandals...or for black capris...or for an outfit for a First Communion.

GASC is great because all these vendors are in one place and I can do a year's worth of shopping in one day. Fantastic!

And we had a good time (and lunch) with Karen and her very funny DH. I met Karen two years ago at the first Texas Crop, when her and a few other great ladies from West Texas drove a long ways over to Fort Worth for a fun weekend crop. I've seen her twice, I believe, since then, at other crops that she has driven a long way to attend. Vicki and I will be driving her way next weekend to visit her and a couple of other scrapping pals. :)
