Today we found out we may get a court date next week. Maybe for July 2nd. Maybe not. So we need new visas because ours expire on the 4th.
I spent a couple of hours contacting the lady who will do our visas this time (our usual agency cannot) and filling out the actual visa forms YET AGAIN...no copies allowed!
Then it hit me. C is out of blank pages in his passport.
@#%$#@%$#&%$#&@$#
So I've been on the phone and trying to get him new pages. We hope to have these back by Saturday. Then I will overnight them to Ludmilla Monday (I don't think Fed Ex does any pick ups on Saturday) for Tuesday early delivery. Then she will need four business days to get us a single entry visa (she needs 7 days for double entry and if we get a July 2nd court date, we won't have 7 days since we have to go do the Eight Doctor Medical in Moscow before court). We would get them back on Saturday the 27th.
If we get a July 2nd court date, we will be cutting it close, but there just isn't anything to be done about it. I think we can make it, provided we don't leave until the 28th for Russia.
That is, if we even get a July 2nd court date. If we don't, we have more time, but we won't know until Monday. I suppose if we find out on Monday that our court date is on the 9th or something, then we will have time to request a double entry visa. If we get a single entry this time, we will have to do the visa race again inbetween trips 2 and 3.
Hurry up and wait. Hurry up and wait.
I'm waiting for C to come home and sign the paperwork for his additional passport pages. Fed Ex pick-up at the Kinkos nearby is at 7pm....C is supposed to be here by 6:30...I've threatened him within an inch of his life.
The agency that is helping us get the passport pages expedited was surprised when I wanted to include a self-addressed pre-paid Fed-Ex envelope so the passport office can send it back Friday for Saturday delivery. "It's expensive!", she exclaimed.
bwahahahahahah!
Lady, you have NO idea.
