They moved his last meeting. We are hoping a family-friendly attitude is prevailing.
We booked our flights last night. We lost out on one flight we needed because it filled out while we were getting our credit card rejected on the Aeroflot site. Our cc company deemed it "unusual activity" since it was being billed from Russia and froze our account. I started suspecting it the third time our cc flunked out because we have had this happen before when travelling overseas. I need to call them this week and reiterate that we will be travelling in Russia and Germany so that they don't freeze us next week. On the Aeroflot site I had to keep choosing our flights and entering our nationality and passport numbers and expiration dates and birthdays and the cc info. Four times until we finally got our cc to go through after a call to them. We were feeling pretty loopy by the time we made it through all the reservations at 2am.
We did get the most important flight...the one that gets us in at 12:10 am on Wednesday. C is flying north Sunday and I am leaving here at around 1pm on Monday for an epic journey to Chicago, Frankfurt, Moscow, and then the capital city of our region. I haven't added up the flight time vs the airport time, but it is more than 24 hours of travel.
We will be there 2.5 days before we head home and we have to spend the night in Frankfurt. We picked the hotel literally at the airport because we are quite sure we are going to want as little hassle as possible at that point.
I'm off to send an e-mail of questions to the agency, then prepare the doctor paperwork and drive it over to his office and try to get in to speak to one of his nurses about getting it done. C has volunteered to track down the pristine money today.
