Baby Watch: day 1,981,209

or at least it seems that long.

So, we have no news on the adoption. Either one. Our China referral is so far away that we are better off just not thinking about it at this point. Years. We are in the process of updating our homestudy to renew our I-171-H because it has been nearly 18 months since we got it and they expire every 18 months. If we renew before it expires, we get one free extension. I need another letter for each of us from our doctor, but it doesn't have to be notarized or apostilled, and we did the homestudy visit a couple of weeks ago.

I got an e-mail from the Russia agency director a week ago regarding an e-mail group and when I e-mailed him back to ask him about that, I also asked if he had heard anything at all from the region we are registered in. He said he was expecting referrals last week, but since they didn't come, he is really hoping they come this week. I'm trying not to get my hopes up. We are both getting impatient, though. Even C is chomping at the bit now. I'm beginning to wonder if anyone is ever going to give us a baby. We've been at this so long the whole thing seems surreal at this point.

I finished another toy...a turtle. Over a week ago. I just haven't photographed the little guy. And I need to go get ready for Knit Night tonight....
