The homestudy is in the house

Just delivered via Fed Ex. I need to read through it and make sure it is as it should be, but I have a hair appointment in 45 minutes and need to go get ready for that. I just wish the doctor's office would call me back and Mr. Oliver is not returning my calls about the verification of property ownership, either. Boo on Mr. Oliver. I guess tomorrow I will drive down there and see him again.

I've been scrapbooking this morning, but last night I did cast-on for the Triple S Shawl. With my Brooks Farm Solo Silk. Which I love. It is totally different than how I expected.
I tried to cast-on at Knit Night, but it wasn't happening. You cast on 8 stitches, divide between four needles, and start knitting in the round. I don't think I would have had a problem doing that with size 2 needles, but with size 9's? It's like juggling 2x4's. So I came home, got out a circular needle, cast-on, knit one round of the pattern, then switched to the bamboo dpns. Much better. This pattern is super simple and looking at the pattern, it is all seamed together with the three needle bind-off, so woo hoo to no sewing of seams!

Drat. I was really curious about this shawl after the cast-on, so I had to go look it up. How cool! Like I need another project to queue...
