Fantasy Break

This update of my current Fantasy Football roster is for my mom, who likes to keep track of who I have:

Regular Starters:
QB- Tom Brady, New England Patriots
RB - Ladanian Tomlinson, San Diego Chargers
RB - Brian Westbrook, Philadelphia Eagles - questionable right now with a knee injury, but he's had it all year and still played even though he is missing practices. I hope like hell he plays Monday night because if he is a game-time decision, it will be too late to play my replacement RB
WR - Donte Stallworth, Philadelphia Eagles - questionable right now with a pulled hamstring...didn't play last weekend at the last minute...he also plays Monday night, so I won't know Sunday what the deal is with him, but his replacement plays at 3:15 Sunday, so I have to decide by then
WR - Amani Toomer, New York Giants - on a bye this weekend
TE - Dallas Clark, Indianapolis Colts
K- Nate Kaeding, San Diego Chargers
DEF - New York Jets

The Bench:
QB- Rex Grossman, Chicago Bears
RB - Fred Taylor, Jacksonville Jaguars
WR - Antonio Bryant, San Francisco 49er's -- whom I will be playing this weekend since Toomer is on a bye
WR - Braylon Edwards, Cleveland Browns -- whom I will probably be playing this weekend since Stallworth is questionable with a pulled hamstring. I have until 3:15 Sunday to figure it out and make a decision. I hate this part. Hope to have a better update on Stallworth tomorrow. But I probably won't and don't want to go with a non-playing receiver again, so I have Edwards in for now. He isn't a stunner, but he's better than a guy who isn't playing. Even if Stallworth does play, he may be too injured to be effective.

I've done a lot of dropping and adding recently, and one trade, which I may live to regret, but right now it seemed the right thing to do.

I am also happy to report that my Canadian friend Heidi, who was at the DC retreat, informed me that she joined a fantasy league because of me. :D
She joined the ScrapShare league and doesn't really have a good idea of what she is doing, but she has some good players, so as long as she stays on top of her bye weeks she should do okay. Right now she is second in the league or something.

Right now I am 5th in my league, with a 2-1 record (2 wins, 1 loss). I'm going up against my cousin in College Station this weekend. I beat his brother two weekends ago, to my great relief, as his brother seems to make the biggest stink about playing The Girl. I have to represent my sex well in this league and stomp these guys as much as possible.

I hope my brother does well this weekend. He has two of his best players on a bye, and that is always a difficult situation. He goes up against my cousin's daughter's fiancee, who has Mcnabb, a formidable QB (the one I had last year and SHOULD have drafted this year...banging head against desk). And McNabb is going up against Green Bay, a defense not likely to contain him much. It could get ugly for Rudy.

I'm looking forward to watching lots of football this weekend, as I saw none in Luxembourg, obviously, and watched about half a game last Sunday and half a quarter last Monday night....

And now that I've rambled on about a sport most of y'all have no interest in whatsoever, the fantasy break is over...back to your regularly scheduled blog....

Hey Sherilyn,
I had three byes this week but I managed to pull my other guys off the bench (thanks for that little tip :)) I can't get into the league right now to check my standings but I think I'm holding my own. Thanks for your support!
