Corey is going to Belgium soon for business and I am going with him. He waffled a lot on what days he wanted to go but finally committed today. Our 10 year anniversary is coming up, so this will count as this year's trip. :D
Now to find the Belgium guide book. All the other guide books are all together, got packed and unpacked together. I pulled the Belgium one out at the old house a month or so ago to look at it and don't have the slightest idea what it got packed with. I've searched just about every remaining box to no avail.
We'll be on the same flights...but Corey is flying business class on his company's bill and I'm not. Hmmmph. At least I got aisle seats. It will be weird not being next to him, but I have done international flights alone before. My knitting will keep me occupied.
We aren't sure what we will do in Belgium. Corey only has two days worth of work stuff and then we are free for almost a week. We'll be near Maastricht, which we've already visited once and we will be going in and out of Brussels, which we've also visited once for afternoon while driving through. Corey'd like to stay out in the countryside...I think he is still castled/museumed/cathedraled out, even after 2.5 years of being back. I'd kind of like to go to Luxembourg. There is a scenic drive involving a lot of wineries on the Moselle River....and a place called "Little Switzerland". The Battle of the Bulge happened nearby and there is an American cemetary there that holds the grave of General Patton.
I vote for Luxembourg, LOL!
We'll need to decide soon so we can reserve accomodations...but for now I am going to try to go wake myself up with a shower. After a fitful few hours of sleep last night, I got up at 5:45 and then took the parental units to the airport at 7:30. So I am dragging pretty heavily right now....
