Itchy fingers

Every now and then I get itchy fingers. Not so much to scrapbook (and I used to get itchy fingers to scrapbook, but it hasn't happened in a long while)....or to knit, which I do nearly every day because it is so portable, so I don't miss it much. I get itchy fingers to sew. We've started up Thursday work meetings again for NIN. During the school year we use a rec center one of us works at. We work from 10-2:30 and clean up and get out before the kids from the school next door show up. But I don't always sew at those meetings...often I cut quilt kits or tear flannel. And when I do sew, it is usually plain double flannel blankets, nothing with any remote design element to it.

And the sewing room at home has been out of commission. Until now. This weekend I made organizational progress in the "studio" and I spent most of yesterday and most of last night until 4am sewing. After binding a double flannel blanket I finished up several quilt tops I had in progress and started two more. I also cut squares to take to the meeting this Saturday for volunteers to pick up.

It looks like today will be another "itchy fingers" day. I need to drag myself away this afternoon to the PO, but other than that I will probably be cutting and sewing away in my studio, scratching the itch.

hmmm, thought I posted this Tuesday and it looks like I was in such a hurry to get sewing I hit the wrong button and saved it as a draft instead of posting.

More sewing in the plans for today (Wednesday), although I do need to unpack a few remaining boxes since the box people are coming this week to pick them up.
