Unlucky 13

So today is our thirteenth wedding anniversary. We thought we'd be spending it at the American Medical Clinic in Moscow getting our Eight Doctor Medicals. As it is, C went into the office today and I just got back from the Cheesecake Factory. Cs favorite dessert is plain New York style cheesecake, so I got a small one for us.

I wonder if he will remember what today is. Last year was the first year he forgot...and I know he forgot because he's always brought me roses and/or planned dinner out before. He says he didn't forget, but I know he did. I mentioned it yesterday in passing, but I don't think he is aware yet today that it's actually our anniversary.

In the meantime, maybe I'll make reservations for tonight and surprise him. I know he doesn't have reservations because I bought some nice bread and lunch meat yesterday to make sandwiches for lunch today, but he wasn't hungry before he went into the office and he mentioned maybe we could have the sandwiches for dinner tonight. I did steaks on the grill last night, so I don't want to do that again. Now to pick a restaurant. Decisions, decisions....
