Since I have the attention span of a gnat right about now, adn still haven't accomplished anything today that I should, I'll post some FO's that haven't made it onto the blog yet...

I did this little bear out of Kristina's handspun that was left over from the sample hat I did for her for Fiberfest. It uses the
Oat Couture Cuddle Toys pattern. Super easy and a fun knit. Kristina has a three year old son.

This is the (as yet unblocked) Noro striped scarf I started and finished after I tried monogamy with C's sweater for a week. I am a very faithful wife...I am not a faithful knitter. Project monogamy is hard for me, and project monogamy with grey tweed ribbing is particularly difficult. After attempting monogamy earnestly for a week, I reached my breaking point and at Knit Night, in a fit of wild abandon, I broke out the Noro Kureyon. This is based on the pattern supplied by
BrooklynTweed and it is a very fast and easy knit. Satisfying. Fun to watch the colors change. That little affair was quick-lived, though, so I used the remnants to do a matching headband and just as I was nearing the end of my improvised pattern I lit up the cigarette, so to speak, and walked away. I need to just dig it out and finish it. It sits, abandoned, with needles still in it, in the bottom of one of my project baskets.
I'm such a project ho it isn't even funny.

These are some quick little mitts I did for Mom. The pattern is from Last Minute Knitted Gifts and while some of these Gifts are faster than others, this ranks right up there in the quickie department. The yarn is insanely soft. It was a
gift from Yvonne, my SP11 pal. I used less than a skein and am still kicking around what to do with the remainder of my two skein gift.

I finished the knitting on the pink toddler dress and just need to seam it up on the sides and add buttons to the shoulders of the back piece. I'm sort of ambivalent about working on this right now. I'm grieving the wait for my daughter and I think I need to wait before I pick this up again.
These are the finished cigar gloves for my cigar-smoking, fly-fishing oldest brother. He's the one I bought that Hook 'Em yarn for from Lone Star Arts. I'm not sure what I'll make for him out of it, but I certainly couldn't pass it by. He's wearing a rare non-UT Longhorn shirt in this photo. I think roughly half his wardrobe is burnt orange. This yarn is cascade 220.
He wears a humongous college ring on one ring finger and the joint on the other is enlarged due ot an injury, so I was able to add in a few stitches there to make wearing gloves a bit easier. These could have been tighter, though.
He will be in town this weekend and I will be seeing him at the end of this month at a family reunion, so I'll be experiencing a rare event of two visits in one month with my Oregon-living bro.

And here is the
Tudora I did for his wife, Sue. Yarn is KP Andean Silk. An easy knit. I decided to move the toggle button after attaching it, and in a moment of I-don't-know-what I accidentally snipped the wrong thread and spent several desperate minutes repairing the hole. Note to self: pay more attention when surgically removing buttons from handknits.
