So last night we saw Springsteen in concert. We ate at "The World's Largest Hooter's" (who knew?) downtown, filling up on wings and quesadillas and beer, then hurried over to the arena thinking we were maybe going to miss the beginning.
We needn't have worried. The show started 50 minutes late.
It was still good. I am not a huge Springsteen fan...that's more C's area. I knew a song about five songs in and then I knew several at the end. Bon Jovi is in concert tonight (had I known, I would have bugged C to get tickets to THAT one instead...but then again, same problem...generation gap...he doesn't know Bon Jovi). Bruce brought out Jon to sing "Glory Days" in the encore.
I was really surprised he didn't do "Born in the USA".
He does a really energetic and good show, though, which was a total sing-a-long for his fans. But if you don't know the songs, it is still a fun show because he really gives his all.
Just don't totally fill up on food and beer beforehand or you might be tempted to drift off during the slow songs...
just sayin'...

I was wondering if you were going to see him! I could have told you he would start about 50 minutes late. When we saw him in MN, he was over an hour late - that's the latest he's started in years!
And you got lucky to have Bon Jovi come on stage!
