Must. make. this.
But I can't start this until I do Corey's sweater, which he only harrasses me about occasionally, but which I know he REALLY wants. I've been swatching for his sweater. Have my second swatch drying on the bathroom counter right now.
But this cardigan above....I'm in love. And for once I will be able to use the same yarn as in the pattern and not have to substitute. No wool. It's made from Knit Picks Shine Sport....cotton and modal. Something I can wear more than one week of the year.
I hope the modal in Shine Sport has a bit of stretch. The 100% cotton worsted weight I am using for my first little toddler dress is killing my hands. I've been consciously knitting looser (which is a good thing all the way around, for me not knit so tight all the time), but that thick 100% cotton is hard on my right hand. I say thick because I am so used to fingering weight that worsted feels like knitting with 2x4's, LOL! The good thing about it is that I can finish something a lot faster with worsted weight.
On the radio station front, I've switched to Jack FM. They are capitalizing, I think, off the fact that The Zoo has turned into Lonestar and is now mixing in country and dropping most of the rock. Jack has been around for a few years, but was always second fiddle to The Zoo. Until now. They may be the only classic rock station in the metroplex now.
On the adoption front, we have our final two homestudy meetings this weekend. I'm behind, though, on some of my paperwork.
On the fitness front, I've been the the gym two days in a row and am about to go again. I'm doing 20 minutes of cardio followed by 30-40 minutes of weight training. In a week or two, I will follow the weight training with more cardio. I did arms and chest the first day, legs and upper back yesterday, and today I think I am going to do longer cardio with no weight training except maybe abs and lower back, which I do every day, and keep that schedule up.
I have been Dr. Pepper free. The first two weeks or so of withdrawals will be the hardest. I did have about 6 oz of Coke Zero yesterday for a caffeine boost, since my iced tea at home is decaf. No chance of me getting addicted to THAT stuff, though. Corey has given up cokes as well. And the diet is now low in saturated fat and calories....maybe he will cut out all those Oldtimer's with cheese at Chili's. :-)
And a friend told me about how eating oatmeal every day helped lower her cholesterol. That's an easy thing. I can have a little instant oatmeal for a snack every day.

Me too on the wool thing. Can you say Allergic??? But, if you get this one down, you might have to make a second...LOL! I love it as well!
I *love* that sweater!
Did you know that Jack is syndicated? We have Jack up here too.
Good job on the quick lifestyle changes too! Hopefully you'll see quick results.
