About the dresser

We do have a dresser...well, we will. I will inherit a dresser and vanity set that was my mine when I was little, my mom's, and her mom's before her. It is currently at my parents' house in one of their guest rooms. It is dark wood.

This furniture will become the nursery set for our daughter and when she gets older, she will eventually get the dresser and vanity and the crib turns into a toddler bed and then a full size bed. So we didn't buy a dresser in this dark wood because then we would end up with two. Once the changing table is no longer needed for that, we will use the shelves for baskets of clothing and/or toys. Before then, we will keep clothing in the closet (we have large closets in all the rooms...one of my favorite things about this house). We have a playroom, so we won't need to keep all the toys in the closets/bedrooms.

I don't have a digital photo of the set. Maybe sometime I will remember to take one.

Once we move this stuff to our daughter's room, we will buy a new set for our son...perhaps in a lighter wood. For our son we will probably get a trundle bed since if we stay in this house, once we have two kid rooms the guest room will become my sewing room and we will be losing the guest bed.

The house is really very clean right now, which is great...one less thing for me to deal with on Wednesday. I've been taking photos this morning for the dossier and am about to put them in the Word document. Mom is coming over later and we are driving down to Austin tonight. We will get up and get the apostilles done in the morning and then head back here. She will drive home and then come back Wednesday night with my dad. I'm having a hysterectomy on Thursday...but more on that later. Right now I have to get going on this Word document.
