American girl

J's boss gave him four seats to the Rangers game last Friday, so we all went. They were great seats. Second level and right in the front row, so we didn't have to worry about her annoying any folks sitting in front of us and we had room for her to move around.

I got a child's hotdog meal. She ate about three bites of hotdog and then later I let her have her first Oreos.
We took her for a walk a few times and if she hadn't had a long nap that day, she never would have made it through the evening, but she did take a nap and she did really well.We stuck around for the fireworks after the game.

Speaking of fireworks, our little town has a big display every 4th of July with a sort of fair/carnival beforehand. She hit the bounce houses and we got her a glow toy. No nap that day, so five minutes into the fireworks she was ready to go, but she didn't throw a tantrum or anything. Just laid down on the blanket and waited.
The next morning Grandmom and Grandpa came over for the parade. It was hothothot, but we walked over just in time to get seats in the shade, so it was bearable.
That afternoon, she was overjoyed to have new people to play games with.
She also had a lot of fun playing in her room with Grandmom and reading books. She was very disappointed when they had to go home.Hope you had a very happy 4th!

I love the picture of her sitting on C's lap pointing at the fireworks. So cute!
