Arboretum

So last weekend we went to the Dallas Arboretum for Dallas Blooms.

We were there during a high sun, so some of the photos are not the best, but I did get a few decent ones.

These next two shots are pretty funny to me because after we finally dragged her away from the water, she decided that this bush, about 4 feet away, was the most.interesting.thing.ever. I told C she was just waiting to run back to the water and he didn't really believe me until she did it., checking behind her every few seconds until I and a few others moved out of her way and as soon as she got a straight shot, she went for it.

There is a display of "princess castles" at the arboretum for a while. Here she is at Belle's.

At Aladdin's,

And here she is meeting one of Mufaro's beautiful daughters, who was on her throne and available for photos at Mufaro's "house". The castles are rather abstract, but a bit of fun for the kids.I purposefully don't emphasize the princess thing with her, but she does pick it up by osmosis, I guess, from cartoons. She was very excited to meet a princess. I don't denigrate the whole princess idea, and I fully expect a princess obsession at some point, but I'm not one of those parents who buys everything pink and princess. Especially since she isn't asking for it at this point.

Then it was time to play in the water with Daddy.
