It appears that our coordinator in Russia will be flying down to Uzbekistan on Sept 2nd to get The Letter. We need to leave on the 5th if we are going to make court on the 10th. So we won't have much notice as to whether or not The Letter has been obtained.
In the meantime, we just redid our bloodwork and x-rays and I picked up new police clearances and will need to pick a date to drive down to Austin again for apostilles. I'm knitting like crazy this week trying to finish Our Russian Adventure in time to earn full points for it in the game I am playing and I also need to finish another project I signed up for in the game since we have to complete a regular mission each month in order to get points for raider training. I signed up to knit five Calorimetries for the caregiver gift bags to take with us on the 2nd trip.
Back to knitting....I'd post photos, but I feel a bit like the Yarn Harlot when she was knitting that garter blanket. It really kinda looks the same. The border has been interesting to knit, though. I don't usually make things up as I go along.

The Letter best get there or I may have to climb on my broom and procure that letter myself. ;) May it get there in time!
I am so terribly anxious to see Our Russian Adventure blanket as a FO.
Tell me more about these caregiver gift bags. Is this a customary thing to do? What does one put in them aside from wonderful handknit Calorimetries?
