I was late with the Newborns in Need newsletter. I barely got my crappy new phone returned in time after they sent me a replacement. I did manage to get my secret sister package out for a secret sister exchange I am doing on my scrapbooking board. I'll post photos later of the great stuff I received this month.
Mom and I had fun together. We found fabric for her to reupholster a sofa with and found coordinating fabrics for the rest of the room. When I went to return the samples and place the order, they had discontinued the sofa fabric! But we got incredibly lucky because they had 28 yds at another store and we need 18. What a lucky break!
I took Mom to Babies R Us to show her the crib set I am looking at. She loves it, too. I'm holding off on buying it because it is a popular set and may still be around in a couple of years. If it starts to get discontinued, though, I will snap up two and if we don't get twins, I'll sell the extra one.
I must say, Babies R Us is more fun with Mom than with C. (and speaking of C, I miss him more than I usually do when he is gone...I want him home) Mom and I made two full trips through the baby clothes, oohing and ahhing and generally enjoying ourselves. C is not quite there yet. To him, the children are still an abstract concept..in a couple of years it will become more real to him and maybe then he'll see the point in looking and purchasing. As it is now, he just stands around and waits for me to get done, which isn't too fun for me, which is why we don't go baby shopping much. That and the fact that we don't know who we are getting yet.
Speaking of purchases:
All 18 month sizes. The two on the left are the ladybug outfit I purchased months ago and a similar heart one I bought with Mom. If we get twins, I won't be into them matching all the time. But there will be times when they do dress alike:
I got two of these. How cute is that? ladybugs. I figure if we get one child, I can give the other one away since I am sure we will know others adopting and ladybugs are popular with us China families. I mean, really, was I supposed to be able to resist this?
I don't plan to buy matching everything. In the case of the red white and blue sets, they are similar but don't match...so if we get twins, they can wear them together or separately and if we get one child, she can wear them both as different outfits.
Two plus years. I'm trying to be patient. I'm not entirely succeeding. I'm trying not to buy a closet full of clothes. I try to buy sleeveless things she can put tees under since we don't know what time of year these things will fit her, but dang it, pregnant women buy baby clothes and I'm no different, even if my pregnancy is.

I love that you can go shopping already. Love how you said I don't know "who" we're getting yet too. Very cool :)
The outfits are adorable!! I think you'll have the best dressed girl(s) in Texas!
