Love me some cheesy movie

Right now I am watchingthe 1959 version of Journey to the Center of the Earth. They just found some cave full of giant mushrooms which they, of course, start trying to eat immediately, never considering the fact that many mushrooms are poisonous. Man Candy put on his tattered shirt for this scene, Obligatory Woman and Handsome Grumpy Expedition Leader have stopped bickering enough to do some sort of impromptu Scottish jig, and joining in the dancing is Comedic Relief Icelander who brought along the Wise Instincts Duck who, amazingly, is equally oblivious to the head of the giant lizard the audience just saw through the rocks.

C is coming home today. I've missed him more than usual this time.
Last night I met up with one of my imaginary friends. Kirsten and I have met before, at a scrapbooking retreat in Lynchburg, VA. She lives in North Carolina and is here on business. We've known each other for years on the internet, both posting at a bulletin board frequented by scrapbookers. It was good to see her and we had a nice meal and then did some shopping so she could pick up Texas-themed items for herself and her son.

O, lookee, the Comedic Relief Icelander is about to deliver an ass kicking to the Bad Guy who has just feasted on raw (ick) duck. But the expedition pulls him back, only for the Bad Guy to fall to his death, revealing, in the process, the sunken city at the center of the Earth. Which is, by the way, near a beach. I don't quite understand that one.,...obviously this movie requires more attention than I gave it credit for.
Love me some cheesy movie.
