Just talked to my dossier consultnat and she is 7 pages into reviewing my homestudy. Once she approves it, my social worker will get it notarized and send me hardcopies for the stuff I need to do on this end.
So at least progress is being made.
In knitting news I finished a rather large pair of socks in blue DK weight wool for an orphanage in Kazakhstan. Problem is, somehow one sock is about an inch too short. I measured. I don't know what happened. So although I have kitchenered, I haven't sewn in the tail. I guess I will rip out the toe and re-knit. Or I will see if I have enough skeins of this color left to do two more socks to match the mismatched ones I have. I used the garter rib pattern out of Sensational Knitted Socks. It provides stretchy ribbing, but since every other row is just a knit stitch, it goes faster than solid ribbing.
I must say, DK weight certainly knits up fast, even for a 10" foot length. I was planning on doing three pairs before September, so doing two more socks, at least, was already in the plans. I'm kinda socked out right now, though. I've been knitting blue wool for three nights straight.
