Now I just need some mitts or gloves to go with all this. I have some "fetching" green fingerless gloves in the same green used for the headband, but those are designated as part of a gift paired with those mosaic mitts I posted yesterday. I have a worsted fingerless glove pattern that has plain stockinette on the back of the hand. Maybe I'll put a tree on each hand and do that checkerboard on the cuff and have a matching set.

That didn't take long
We went ot a Mavs game last night and it was coooooold outside! So I used my new headband. It worked great! Three layers of wooly warmth kept my ears and head quite warm and I must say, it's a look that works for me. :D When we got into the arena I took the headband off and pulled my hair into a ponytail. No flat hair worries...my hair is all one length now, shoulder length, so it's pretty flat anyway, LOL!
It just so happens that the first thing I EVER knit (just two years ago in February) is a scarf in the same brown and off-white Wool-Ease. It is a tad short and has some mistakes in its simple 2x2 ribbing, but hey, it's the first thing I ever knit, so it's allowed to have mistakes. I used it last night, too. I think I'll use the leftovers from the headband to extend it, though, to a more useable length. I did a duplicate stitch on it that I will take out and I'll just add on with stripes of brown and off-white until I've used up what I have on hand.
