Disneyland, Day 1

We are visiting family in Los Angeles and spent last Wednesday at Disneyland. We will be returning to the park tomorrow with C's sister's family for day number 2.We took N to Disneyland last November, and while she liked it, she hadn't quite reached the magic age. She's there now. She was SO excited to meet Mickey that when we got into the same room as him, she insisted on putting her Mickey hat back on (she had taken it off a little earlier) before the photo and she was visibly thrilled to meet him. Such a great age. She's more scared now of rides that didn't phase her before, like Mr. Toad's Wild Ride, but she still loves the tea cups and the rocket ships.
We had a little meltdown on Dumbo because Daddy didn't realize her favorite color was blue and put her in a green elephant.
He tried to move to a blue one, but just missed it and ended up in yellow. Once the ride started, though, she was fine. Daddy learned his lesson and went straight for a blue tea cup.
We ran into Pluto but haven't been able to score a visit with Goofy and Goofy is her favorite. I don't have high hopes of stumbling upon him tomorrow, but I guess anything is possible!
We also did the Princess thing. They have their own area now. You wait in line and then see three of them in little alcoves. We only did it because the line wasn't too long. She likes the idea of a princess, but she doesn't really know who they are or what their stories are. We saw Tiana, Ariel, and Belle.
N has this thing on rides...she waves to everyone as she goes around and around. It's pretty hilarious. And in It's A Small World, she couldn't stop waving and saying "Hi!" to all the little singing puppets. And there were hundreds of singing puppets.

We took The Kid to Disney World when he was about 3 1/2. He loved Goofy. We bought him a Goofy hat which has Goofy's snout as the bill. When he saw Goofy, he exclaimed, "Look Goofy, I'm wearing your hat!". I have a picture of that encounter...(My eyes are threatening to leak now, because The Kid is turning 21 in a month.)

LOL I love the image of her waving to *every* puppet. It must be fun to see how much more she is enjoying herself this year :)

Love the look on N's face while she's hugging the princess. It's great that you all are having these fun days.
