Yesterday during naptime I photographed some of my more recent yarn purchases and gifts (okay, some of these are not exactly new...I haven't been good at keeping up) and started trying to get my stash on Ravelry up to date. For you non-Ravelers, Ravelry provides a mechanism where knitters can catalog their stash and use it to browse for patterns or just keep track of it in general. When she woke up, N enjoyed getting to know the stash...and she should...chances are, she will inherit some of this because my stash may be approaching SABLE (Stash Acquisition Beyond Life Expectancy). She was good with it. She respected the yarn like a true yarnie in training. I'm not going to allow her unfettered access any time soon, but she was better with it than I had expected. She even got down and picked up the skeins she knocked onto the floor and put them back up on the sofa. Good girl!
Awesome! Start her early! Now you just need to find an experienced knitter to place knitting needles in her hand (have you heard of that tradition?) so she will grow up to be an excellent knitter too.
Our dossier was logged in by the CCAA on December 25th, 2007. The current wait from LID to referral for a non-special needs child is around 8 years. Our dossier has been translated and is now in line for the Review Room, where the Chinese govt. will officially approve us to adopt. We are likely looking at another 6 years or so before we receive our referral if it even happens that quickly.

Nothing like the crying you experienced months ago when she came home...... so sweet.
