Utter frustration

I heard back from the Dept of Homeland Security. They say they don't have my homestudy. I waited to send all my info to them because I wanted to send it together with my homestudy. I KNOW I sent a homestudy! It's even in the picture of all the paperwork I took just before I went and sent it all off! That's it, right there on top! So send another one, you say? Well, I'm about to go overnight one. But the problem is this line in the 1st e-mail I received back from them, the automated one: Once all requested documentation is submitted, the average processing time for the completion of your application is 60-90 days.

So does that mean that my 60-90 day waiting period starts over again? I sent another e-mail asking if that is the case.

60 more days means the end of December, and we wouldn't be DTC until maybe January and that is almost a year since we started the paperchase and then it's a two-year wait for referral after that.

I'm crying so hard I can't possibly go mail anything. I need to go pull myself together.

I'm so sorry about all the hassle and waiting you've had to do with this! Crazy! I don't know if it's too late for you or not, but we were able to send a letter requesting advance fingerprinting with our app. We got an appointment 2 weeks later! It was nice to know that part was done even before everything else was approved. Just an idea.

(((((HUGS)))))! I know you have got to be so utterly frustrated. But, take a deep breath, and pull yourself together so you can do what you need to. It will all be worth it when you get your little girl.

Big hugs for you! Send them another one and hopefully things will move along a little quicker (especially if they find the original missing copy). You are almost to the end of the paperwork chase so hang in there!

Oh, gee, Sherilyn, this is so frustrating... Stay cool... cool... cool... cry and start again. You know why you're doing it. {{{{{hugs}}}}}
