See, what did I tell you about December?

I'm not doing so hot on the blogging front.

I don't usually make New Year's resolutions, but in this case, maybe I should resolve to do a better job out here of keeping up.

December was a full month, with Chanukah and Christmas. N made her stage debut in her pre-school Christmas show. She was a bell and her class sang "Campana Sobre Campana", "Bells Over Bethlehem". For a month she came home singing gibberish and doing a dance. We didn't have the slightest idea what the song was about, and since it was in Spanish, we couldn't help her. She goes to a Spanish immersion pre-school, where they speak Spanish to them all day except for the hour a day they get English pre-school. In just about two months of lessons, she's learned quite a few words, counts to ten in Spanish, and is very interested in learning more. I'm going to have to brush up because she is constantly asking me how to say different things in Spanish.

Anyway, she did really well on stage. I took photos and C took video, then afterwards he told me he couldn't see anything without his glasses, so the video is not great and it's also a bit jumpy. I can't get the software to sync up to Windows 7, but in the meantime, I do have a few good photos of all the ones I took:

Chanuka was eight crazy nights of presents. Half were toys, half were books.
We made cookies.
I made latkes every night.

We played dreidel.
We lit candles. Well, she lit pretend candles. this awesome little set has separate flames that can be inserted into the candles as Daddy lights his.
We went to my parents' house for Christmas and the whole gang was there. I was chopped liver once she latched onto her cousins.

She declared H to be her best friend in the WHOLE WIDE WORLD. Poor girl barely got a break from N, but we did manage to persuade N to give her a rest now and then.

Lovey Bunny + finger in mouth + book being read to her = contentment

They are all getting so grown up! JR is the oldest at 20, N is the youngest at 3.
The day after Christmas, we gave the kids their gifts in an extravaganza of presents. She loves all her presents, but she has crazy love for this book her Uncle Rudy and Aunt Sue gave her. It's a Disney bedtime stories collection and she is still rather obsessed with it.

Although riding her pillow pet around the house was great fun as well.I'll catch up with knitting and crochet in the next post.
