While C was at the office and I was in the living room managing my fantasy football league on the laptop this morning, Miss N was in the master bedroom watching cartoons. When she is in there, we close the double doors that go to our bathroom so that she isn't in it without us. The chemicals under the sinks are childproofed, but my drawers are not and she is not allowed to play in there unless we are in there showering or dressing.
Well, it appears that she can now open the doors by herself. Because I walked in and this is what I found:
It took a few seconds for it to register. That's my Bare Minerals warmth and hint, which I usually only wear in the summer and keep in one of my drawers during the off-season.
I'm pretty sure I yelled, "Noooooo!" and then I said, "Stay.Right.There." and she knew I meant business because she did not move an inch. I had to figure out what to do with her and didn't need her wandering around causing more of a mess. She stayed put. I grabbed a camera and put a towel down next to our master tub, snapped the photo, moved her to the towel, stripped her, and gave her a bath. There was considerably more make-up on her clothes than on her, and at least these were some of her more casual play clothes.
After a futile episode with our vacuum and some Resolve foam, I ended up renting a carpet shampoo machine and thankfully the carpet looks good as new right now. It did cut into my knitting play date I had scheduled for today, but I still did get to go knit a bit and stuff myself silly at dinner.
The doors to the bathroom are now rather inconveniently childproofed.
And at least it wasn't lipstick.

LOL - let the games begin!!!! :)
How can you be mad at a face like that.
Be thankful it wasn't ketchup and Baby Powder. That's what I decorated my room with when my little brother came along. I needed me some attention, evidently!
Oh my.....the look on N's face says guilty as charged! I'm so glad you got a picture....and that you saved the carpet.
My niece (about the same age) got into her mother's purse and decorated my son (same age) and herself with mascara and lipstick. What a mess!
Marge
She looks very sorry.
So glad you were able to salvage the carpet and get some yarn therapy after the clean up..... Im sure you really needed it by then!
