Maxi top

I apologize for the radio silence. Our hard drive crashed again. Third time in 14 months. Apparently our laptop is a hard drive killer and I'm trying out a chill pad underneath it (essentially a piece of plastic with a fan embedded in it that blows up under the laptop and helps cool it) to help relieve the hard drive killing capabilities. Don't know if it will work, but we are tired of losing our HD. At least I had done a back-up the week before it failed. We keep getting new ones under warranty, at least, and this time I bit the bullet and installed it myself. That wasn't hard, and reloading the operating system wasn't hard, but my utilities and drivers disk was taped to the back of another disk, so it took me forever to figure out how to actually get the thing running properly.

So anyway.
This little top was a relatively quick knit. It required virtually no concentration on my part, so I knit it while watching N play at the playground in the mall. I've had this solid pink yarn for FOREVER and it was a great match for the self-striping, which is Knitcol Adriafil. Love it. This is pre-washing/blocking, and I think it may grow a bit, which is good. This is wool, so I'm planning on her being able to wear it over onesies or tees. She liked having it on without anything under it, but we didn't go outside in it. It's been 104 and while wool breathes, it does have its limits.

I have 2-3 balls of the Adriafil left over and more of the solid pink, so I may try to sqeeze a cardi or shrug out of what I've got left.

She was not particularly interested in being still for this little photo shoot. Or even looking at the camera.

Have I mentioned that she will be enrolled in gymnastics as soon as she is old enough?

It looks like N may be ready for gymnastics now! Or at least, check if there are still Little Gym type places around. Your knitting is loverly....especially on your little model.
