I haven't been good about taking photos and blogging, but I have been knitting. I can knit while N is awake as long as it is relatively simple and easy to put aside as she climbs into my lap, as my lap is rarely empty for long.

I started this little sweater for N last September, before our court date, and I finished all the pieces before I went to go pick her up in October. Then I left it in a bag in my closet for almost 5 months.
So I pulled it out and seamed it together and it is very, very pretty. It won't fit her much longer, so I wish I had bit the bullet and seamed it sooner. I also need to either put a button at the top or perhaps some I-cord ties, but she can wear it as a spring sweater and she might be able to wear it a bit this summer to take off the A/C chill indoors.

Pattern: Design A - Girl's Lacy Cardigan from Sirdar booklet #332 Little Sweet Peas
Yarn: Cleckheaton Cocoon (70% Merino wool/30% nylon)

I do wish the Sirdar folks would design some patterns that don't need seaming. They have some really nice patterns, but they all involve seaming. (I am planning to knit another Sirdar design soon, though.) It isn't as if baby sweaters need the seams for support. But at least the seams on this little thing weren't long. Just sewing up the sleeves, inserting the sleeves, and inserting the collar. Wasn't as bad as I thought it would be considering how long I put it off.

The little onesie and matching socks N is wearing were a gift from Jenica, a scrapbooking friend. Jenica has
little on-line store where she sells this type of thing, too.

C.u.t.e!!! I know what you mean about Sirdar and the seaming issue. I hate seaming!!!!!!
Adorable!!!
What an adorable model!!! I love the sweater too <3
So I just answered my own question. Id rather do the Helena again. It has a similar bottom and I might be able to make a collar and add the lace pattern to the sleeves so no seaming...... Look at my "brittanys sweater" if you want to see what Im talking about. I just modified Helena on Rav......
