This cracked me up because I feel a little like this. I am not doing a lot of Christmas/Hannukah knitting this year. I am doing a little..and contemplating some more in a "my eyes are way too faster than my hands" way. But I am working on somehting for someone whom I think checks in here now and then, so I don't want to post about it, even though I could post about it and she wouldn't know I'm knitting for her. And there is one other thing I am thinking about doing that I can't really post about. And there are the cigar gloves I am going to knit for my brother because he requested tham and I don't mind sharing photos of them because they are not a surprise, but I haven't actually started them yet. I'm too busy knitting that one gift, which isn't for Christmas, because it is due before Christmas. If it were a Christmas gift, I could send it next July because for the last two years, that's when most of my Christmas gifts have been mailed.
BTW, have I ever mentioned how much I like Franklin's blog? He is a talented writer as well as an inspiring knitter, and I think even non-knitter's will find the humor in this post. I told my friend Marge I'd send that link to her, so here it is, Marge. Enjoy.
And no, I did not beat my brother in football last week. He won by 2.56 points. Infuriating. Purple Jesus had a bad day, Romo had a good one, but then, a few of my guys had good days and I was ohsoclose until the Monday night game when his Seattle receiver got him enough points to win. The biggest disappointment was Greg Olsen, tight end for Chicago. He got me zero points. Zilch. Nada. Notaone. Oh, he played alright, he just didn't catch any passes. I didn't get to see the game. I don't know if this is his fault. Did they even try to throw him the ball? Was he just blocking all day? Ugh. Olsen has been fairly consistent...this is just a crapshoot kinda thing. But Olsen is now a free agent. I picked up Watson, who is part of the New England Score-athon offense. I just hope he is past his injury and will play this weekend. If not, I will have to go shopping in the bargain basement bin for another TE.
So Rudy is still at number 1, and has clinched a playoff spot. I'm back down at number 9 and will be lucky to slide into the playoffs at all at this rate....

Can't wait to see the mysterious knitting. I loved Franklin's bus story.
